Simpson, serves as the brand ambassador for Shang Properties, a real estate brand under the prestigious Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts group. He spearheaded the brand’s business development and media marketing efforts in Taiwan. Lin is also a minority shareholder in DMCI Group, a prominent real estate developer in the Philippines, and is regarded as an expert in the Mandarin-speaking real estate market with deep expertise in Philippine real estate.
A dynamic entrepreneur from Taiwan, Lin Zhiwei has made significant strides in the Philippine real estate industry. In 2021, to recognize ohis exceptional accomplishments in the real estate sector, he was awarded the “Global Young Entrepreneurs Star” title by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) of the Republic of China (R.O.C., Taiwan).
Lin Zhiwei’s journey in the Philippines began in 2009, when he came to the country to fulfill his mandatory alternative military service. During his time in the Philippines, he witnessed firsthand the rapid economic growth and immense development potential of the region. After completing his service, Lin made the bold decision to step out of his comfort zone in Taiwan and embark on his own entrepreneurial path. Together with his friends, he co-founded FP Mars Realty Solutions Inc., Manila’s first real estate agency catering to Taiwanese clients. Through his professional expertise and sharp market insights, he quickly earned recognition in the highly competitive real estate industry. Lin’s entrepreneurial story has been widely covered by both domestic and international media, including features in magazines such as, Global Views Monthly in 2015, CommonWealth Magazine in 2016, and Wealth Magazine in 2024. He was also interviewed by SET News for a segment on real estate in the Philippines, in the TV show titled “Disappearing Borders”last 2024. Lin has become an entrepreneurial role model for many young people in Taiwan.
In 2022, Lin Zhiwei successfully obtained the sales rights for DMCI in Taiwan and, in December 2024, signed an agreement with Shang Properties, a brand under the Shangri-La Hotel Group, to become the exclusive agent for the brand in Taiwan. This collaboration marks Lin Zhiwei’s outstanding achievements in the Philippine real estate market and further expands his influence in the international real estate field. Notably, Shang Properties awarded the “International Market Champion Sales” title for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024, which not only recognizes Lin Zhiwei’s exceptional contribution to promoting the brand but also provides Taiwanese investors with more high-quality real estate options, opening a new chapter in their cooperation.
